“Wow“

Based on Visitors and Residents: A new typology for online engagement, I was shocked that individuals might have a higher or lower aptitude for using technology. The article states that some people will never go beyond a low level of participation in selecting a small range of tools for a limited purpose. More interestingly, another advantage is that the continuity of residents and visitors is uniform.

“Wonder”

Through article, “Total” residents spend all their online time socializing and never use the Internet to gather information, yet leave essential evidence of their existence behind. Does this mean that we often leave traces of our existence behind when we date online? Does this affect our privacy? What if someone with an ulterior motive uses us to leave evidence on the Internet and replace us as “us”?
